Susan Ardisson, Esq.

CEO

Susan Ardisson directs the business, strategic and overall operations of bit-x-bit. Drawing on her legal background, Susan works directly with clients and counsel on complex computer forensic investigations and e-discovery engagements in a wide variety of matters, from theft of intellectual property to government investigations. She has been appointed as an E-Discovery Special Master by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania in five cases, and has served as an expert or a neutral in a number of other matters by court appointment or agreement of the parties.

Brett Creasy, CISSP, GCFA, CCE

President & Director of Digital Forensics

Brett Creasy directs the company’s overall operations in digital forensics, e-discovery, cybersecurity and incident response. An expert in digital forensics, Brett has conducted hundreds of forensic examinations for matters involving intellectual property theft, unauthorized use of computer systems, harassment, computer hacking, criminal and white collar crimes, and employment class action cases, as well as arbitration proceedings and internal investigations. He has been designated as an expert in state and federal courts throughout the country, and has testified in scores of cases on a variety of topics and matters, most notably in cases involving the theft of confidential and trade secret information.

Joseph Decker, Esq.

Vice President & General Counsel

Joseph Decker brings 30 years of experience as a business litigator and trial attorney to bit-x-bit. In addition to consulting directly with clients and counsel on a wide variety of computer forensics, incident response and e-discovery matters, Joe directs bit-x-bit’s use of data analytics in e-discovery, developing strategies and overseeing the implementation of data analytics, as well as providing expert reports and testimony in support of its use. He is an E-Discovery Special Master for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and past co-chair of the ACBA’s Legal Technology and E-Discovery Committee.

Caitlin Counihan

Caitlin Counihan conducts forensic examinations on a wide variety of electronic devices and data including laptops, desktops, cell phones, system memory and external devices such as USB hard drives. She has performed examinations for cases involving intellectual property theft, white collar and other criminal matters and investigations, and employment class actions. Caitlin manages the collection, cataloging, preservation, storage and return of evidence.

Beth Hughes

Beth Hughes is an eDiscovery Project Manager with bit-x-bit. She has nearly a decade of experience handling all aspects of eDiscovery from collection, processing, review, preparation of privilege logs to production.  Beth has managed teams of as many as 100 contract review attorneys, sometimes in multiple cities, and has coordinated reviews relating to all types of business litigation, internal investigations, and transactional matters. Beth received her Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Bethany College.

Pam Jones

Pam Jones is bit-x-bit’s Accounting and Billing Manager.  She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in accounting from the Pennsylvania State University, and received her certification as a public accountant while employed by Arthur Andersen and Company.  Pam has worked in various areas of accounting including auditing, financial analysis, budgeting for other large firms such as Bayer, USA and Koppers.

Freddie Dyroff

Freddie Dyroff, a Forensic Analyst with bit-x-bit, conducts in-depth forensic examinations relating to trade secret theft, a range of criminal matters, employment matters, and class action lawsuits.  In this role, Freddie collects and forensically preserves a variety of devices including cell phones, servers, cloud data, and computers. Recently, he acted as the lead analyst on a matter involving the intake of 2000 devices and imaging for over 600 of those devices. Freddie often travels on-site to meet with bit-x-bit’s clients and perform electronic evidence testing, collection, and data analysis.

Maribeth Hamel is an Associate Project Manager with bit-x-bit.  Maribeth is responsible for managing bit-x-bit's social media presence, community engagement, and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) offerings. She also works closely with bit-x-bit's e-Discovery and Digital Forensics teams on client matters. 

Maribeth has nearly a decade of experience supporting law firms and in-house counsel as a litigation paralegal focused on employment law and e-discovery.
